Summary: The function was inaugurated by Sri Guruprasad Ballal, Chief Manager, Corporation Bank Udupi. He delivered a Lecture on "Demonetization is a Boon or Bane for the Indian Economy".  He enlightened  Demonetization has improved transmission in the banking system and it has been trying to expand the banking sectors reach. Demonetization hasn't positive effect on short term but if you see in the long run it has a positive image transforming effect on Indian economy. The attempt to wipe out black money and corruption might be rigid, but it was really a well planned motive. 

President of the function, Principal, Dr. Raghavendra A has addressed the students and  advised the students to take active participation in all the avctivities. Vice Principal Dr. Prakash Rao, HOD of Commerce and Management Prof. Shivakumar PT Faculty incharge of Commerce Association Mrs. Jayalaxmi, Faculty incharge of Management Association Mr. Sandeep were present.

 Investors Education Program on Capital Market Awareness was organized on 8th August 2018 by Bombay Stock Exchange. The resource person for the talk was Mr. Ramachandra BK. The final year students from BCom attended the talk.

Discussion on Choice Based Credit System

A discussion on the implementation of the CBCS  in Mangalore University colleges from the academic year 2019-20 was initiated by Prof.Shiva Kumar P T, HOD Commerce & Management on 29th July 2018. All the staff of the Department were present and an active discussion on the various facets of the Choice Based Credit System like Curriculum, Grades, Inclusion and exclusion of few subjects from the current curriculum took place.
