Dr. Anand  S. Postgraduate Studies and Research Department, College of Banking and Financial Studies, Muscat, Sultanate of Oman. Were the Resource persons.

HH Sri VishwapriyaTheerthaSwamiji, President, Sri Adamar Mutt Educational Council Inaugurated the program by lighting the lamp. Principal Dr. Raghavendra A, Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Prakash Rao, Dr. Ramesh TS. HOD Dept of Sanskrit and SWO, Prof. Shivakumar P.T. HOD of Department of Commerce and Management and all the faculties of the Department of Commerce were present.

In First The session, Dr. Anand S. delivered a lecture on “Expected Global Investment Strategy and in the Second Session Dr. Prashanth Rasogi has delivered a lecture on “Cross Communication Process.

Ms. Deeksha S invoked the blessings of Almighty. Ms.Apoorva Osta and Ms.Anupama Nayak  were the Masters of Ceremony. Prof.Shivakumar P.T. HOD of Commerce and Management delivered the welcome address.  Ms.MeenakshiAcharya  and Mrs.Madhulika V. Bhat. Poornaprajna College and Postgraduate Centre, Udupi , IQAC and Departement of Commerce and Management has organized a One day Webinar on "Role of Technology in Research Projects" for final year BCOM and Final BBA students.  Prof. Sahana Raviprasad Coordinator of BAF and BBI, S.M.Shetty College of Science, Commerce and Management studies, Powai, Mumbai was the Resource person Principal Dr. Raghavendra A, IQAC Coordinator, Dr. Prakash Rao, Prof. Shivakumar PT. Prof Sahana Raviprasad  has delivered a lecture on Role of Technology in Research projects. She gave a demonstration of various digital tools facilitating the projects nowadays .The lecture session was followed by  an interactive session with the students.

Principal, , Dr. Prakash Rao, Vice Principal and IQAC Coordinator, Prof. Shivakumar PT, HOD of Commerce and Management, Dr. Anand Acharya, Convener of Career Guidance Cell, Mrs. Jayalaxmi, Convener of Commerce Association, and all the Faculties of the Department of Commerce and Management and  various departments were present. Principal, Dr. Raghavendra A gave Introductory Remarks, Ms. Jyothi Acharya had welcome the gathering.HOD, Prof. Shivakumar gave concluding remarks and Mrs. PreethaMaipady conveyed the Vote of thanks. The purpose of organizing this workshop was to create an awareness among the students about Yoga, Meditation and a balanced healthy diet and to prepare them for leading healthy life.

Resource person Ms. Kavitha, Dietician, Kasturba Hospital Manipal has   delivered a Lecture on “Yoga-Meditation-Diet - 3 Keys To Improve Mental Focus And Stress Management”.

 He gave brief introduction about the Yoga  and meditation, and diet and also explained in detail the importance of them and also how they help to strengthen our mind, to build confidence to improve our health and thereby help to improve our mental focus. She gave a message to the students to practice Yoga and to develop healthy life practices.

The purpose of organizing this workshop is to enhance the investment skill among students and impart some knowledge on financial literacy also. Because an asset class that is included in the portfolio has to be chosen only after a thorough understanding of the investment objectives and constraints.

In the first session Resource person, Mr. Varun Rao delivered a Lecture on “Basics of Stock Market”. He gave a brief introduction to the types and concepts of the stock market. He said a stock market is similar to a share market. The key difference is that a stock market helps you trade financial instruments like bonds, mutual funds, derivatives as well as shares of companies. A share market only allows trading of shares. He has also explained the importance of stock and investments, Returns of various asset classes over a period of time.

In the second session, the Resource person Mr. Ishmohit Arorahas discussed the Barometer of the economy, sentiment, basics of pay ratio, market capitalization, past track-record, wealth that can be created via rupee cost averaging and size of the opportunity in India today. He also has covered the financial literacy with a beautiful quote “How can we multiply the most scarce resource – Time.”

information about Corona Virus, its symptoms, how it speads, safety measures to prevent the spreading of virus among the people , ways to improve our body immunity etc. Is given by the staff members of Dept of Commerece & Management to various people residing in Udupi city, Bailore, Shirva, Alevoor, Atrady etc. through distribution of pamphlets & urged them to stay at home on 22nd march 2020 in support of  "Janata curfew".
